  2. 1 tsp cumin powder
  3. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  4. 1 tsp coriander powder

  8. Dry condiments (black pepper, cumin, cloves, bay leaf, cardamom)

  11. 1/2 cup mint
  12. 1/2 cup coriander
  13. 5-6 green chillies
  14. 5 garlic cloves

  16. 4 green onion bulb
  17. 1 medium onion
  18. 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
  19. Rice
  20. 400 gms rice
  21. 1.5 tbs salt
  22. 1 tbs vinegar
  23. Dry condiments (black pepper, cumin, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf, few mint leaves)
  24. Water
  25. For garnishing
  26. Mint and coriander chopped
  27. 6-7 whole green chili
  28. Fried onions
  29. Lemon juice

Steps to make to make Green Chicken Biryani

  1. Put all the green masala ingredients: coriander, mint, onion, ginger, garlic, green onion bulb; together in blender. Pour little bit water and blend it.
  2. Pour the green masala mixture on chicken and marinate it for 10 mins. Then take a pot, heat it up the oil and put all dry condiments. Once it starts splattering put marinated chicken.
  3. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and black pepper powder. Add some potatoes.
  4. Pour whipped yogurt and mix it well. Keep the flame on medium and cover it. It will take 10 mins to cook well.
  5. In the mean while, take a big pot filled with water for rice. Put all dry conical with mint leaf. Once it starts boiling, put soaked rice. Then a tablespoon of vinegar and a tablespoon of salt.
  6. Once the rice looks puffy. Strain it. Keep it in strainer.
  7. In the same pot, pour the chicken gravy oil first then half boiled rice. Sprinkle so e golden brown onion.
  8. Then put the all chicken gravy. Sprinkle coriander and brown onion.
  9. Add some whole chillies. Then put rest of the rice. Again sprinkle brown onion
  10. Some chopped mint leaves and squeeze a lemon.
  11. Cover it tightly. Slow down the flame and wait for steam atleast for 15 mins. Uncover the pot, mix it up little bit rice with masala.
