Ingredients and spices that need to be Make ready to make Chicken biryani:

  1. 1 kg Chicken (biryani cut)
  2. 750 gm Rice (wash n soaked for half an hour)
  3. 1 cup Oil or desi ghee
  4. 1 cup Onion
  5. 4 Tomato (medium sized)
  6. 1 cup Yogurt
  7. 2 tbsp Shah zeera
  8. Red chilli powder & daighi Mirch 2 tbsp each
  9. Haldi & coriander powder 1 tbsp each
  10. 2 big cardamom
  11. 8-10 small green cardamom
  12. 8-10 black peppercorns
  13. 8-10 cloves
  14. 3 Badiyan ka phool
  15. 1 kg Potatoes (peel n cut in half from Center)
  16. 6-7 Aloo Bukhara
  17. 1/2 tsp javitri (grinned)
  18. 1/2 tsp Nutmeg (jaifal) (grinded)
  19. 1 tbsp Garam Masala (grinded)
  20. 1 tbsp Kewra water
  21. 8-10 Green chillies
  22. 1/4 cup Fresh mint (chopped)
  23. 1/4 cup Fresh coriander (chopped)
  24. Salt to taste
  25. 2 pinch Zarday Ka rang (dissolved in 2 tablespoon of milk)
  26. 4 tbsp Butter or Desi ghee

Instructions to make to make Chicken biryani

  1. Firstly wash rice n soaked for at least 30 minutes
  2. Wash chicken,set aside
  3. Heat oil n fry onion until golden brown, save half n set aside
  4. Then add chicken with ginger garlic paste & fry for couple of minutes
  5. Remove chicken set aside
  6. Meanwhile add all masala (Shah zeera,Red chilli powder,daighi Mirch,Haldi, coriander powder,big cardamom, small green cardamom, black peppercorns, cloves) in yogurt n mix well
  7. Add yogurt & tomatoes in pan n bhonofy it for couple of minutes
  8. Then add bay leaves, badiyan phool & Cinnamon stick with potatoes & splash of water & cover n cook
  9. When potatoes is half done add aloo Bukhara,javantri, nutmeg, gram masala powder, kewra water & mix well
  10. Lastly add prepared chicken, salt with green chilli, fresh coriander & mint leaves
  11. Meanwhile In a separate pan boil rice with 2 tbsp zeera
  12. In a big pan add salan and then put the rice
  13. Sprinkle butter, zarday ka rang, fresh coriander & mint
  14. You can also sprinkle fired onion at top of the pan
  15. Put on dam for 15-20 minutes
  16. Your biryani is ready Tadda
