  9. Rice preparation
  10. 3-4 cup basmati rice
  11. 2 cinnamon stick

  16. 2 tbsp lemon juice / vinegar
  17. 2 tbsp salt/ as required
  18. Water to boil rice as required

  22. 3-4 onion sliced
  23. 4-5 medium tomato
  24. 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  25. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  26. to taste Salt
  27. 2 tbsp ghee
  28. 1/2 tsp mace and nutmeg powder to taste
  29. 3-4 potato
  30. Green chutney paste
  31. 1 cup mint leaves
  32. 1 cup coriander leaves
  33. 6-8 green chillies
  34. For layering
  35. 2+2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilli

  1. First of all marinade the chicken with Tikka masala curd,garam masala, red chilli powder,salt and refined oil.
    Refrigerate it for at least 1 hour.

    Soak washed rice for 30 minutes in water, then boil it till 75% with the whole spices,salt,oil and lemon juice/vinegar.
  3. Now in a wok heat ghee add sliced onion,sauté till onion turns light golden brown then add ginger garlic paste sauté till raw smell go.
  4. Add marinated chicken, turmeric,mace and nutmeg powder and cook on high heat until the masala releases oil,now add tomatoes,turns the heat low cover and cook till the chicken is tender.
    Then turn of the heat once cooked.
  5. Mean while chicken is cooking we will prepare our green chutney by grinding, mint leaves, coriander leaves and green chillies to fine paste.set aside
    (In the same blender I add a garlic clove 1/2 cup yogurt blend it sprinkle cumin seeds and salt Raita is ready)
  6. In a big bottom pan spread the chicken, boiled rice, green chutney add food colour, lemon slice, chopped coriander and mint leaves and sprinkle some garam masala
    Cover and turn on the heat on lowest to put on dum for 10- 15 minutes.
  7. Your hari chutney biryani is ready to serve hot with some salad, enjoy with your family and friends
