  19. 2 tbsp Desi ghee
  20. 2 tbsp Oil
  21. 2 tbsp Cashew nut paste

Instructions to make to make Satrangi layered veg Biryani

  1. Boil rice in 6 cups of water with salt(2 tb.spoon.) and all whole spices until 80 percent cook.Strain it and keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a cooker,add garlic ginger paste and green chilli.Cook it for 3-4 min.Add salt,red chilli powder and garam masala.Then add all vegetables and saute.Mix curd into it and 1/2 cup water.Close the lid and switch off the gas after 1 whistle.
  3. Now add cashew nut paste and mix.
  4. Take a heavy bottom pan,add ghee into it,fry onion until golden brown.Keep it aside.
  5. Now for the layering of biryani - take a heavy bottom pan - first layer is of vegetables,then make 2 and layer of rice, sprinkle saffron water,mint,kevda water and coriander leaves and some fried onions.Repeat this two times.Uppermost layer should be of rice.Seal the pan with the wheat flour dough and cook it on the lowest flame for 15 min.
  6. Your satrangi veg biryani is ready to serve.
