Steps to make to make Biriyani
- Heat oil in a pan.Add sliced onion.

- Fry them until golden.

- Add all dry spices.saute until they crackle


- Add ginger garlic paste.

- Saute till the raw smell goes off.

- Add all the vegetables and fry.

- Add turmeric powder,salt,red chilli powder and biryani masala powder.

- Fry it 3 minutes.pour yogurt.Mix well.


- Cook covered till the veggies are cooked.

- In a large pot bring water to boil.add oil,salt,Sahi jeera and bay leaf.

- Add washed,soaked rice.

- Cook the rice.Drain the excess water.soak saffron in 1/2 cup milk.


- Add rest of the curd,mint and coriander leaves.mix well.

- Layer half of the rice.Then sprinkle few fried onions,mint and coriander leaves.


- Then pour soaked saffron milk.Add fried cashew and raisins.


- Cover the pan with aluminium foil.Place the lid and Set the flame to low.Since the vegetables and rice 5 minutes.

- Veg biryani ready serve it with raita.
