- For Rice
- 200 gm basmati rice
- 1 tbsp desi ghee
- 2 green slits chilli
- 2 whole green cardamom
- 1 inch " cinnamon
- For 1st layer Palak Paneer sbji
- 1 cup Spinach (Palak) puree
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- 1 inch " ginger paste
- 1 tsp green chilli paste
- 100 gm paneer cubes
- 2 tbsp desi ghee
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp fresh cream
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp or to taste salt
- 1 pinch turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 inch " cinnamon
- 2 cloves
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 black cardamom
- 1/4 cup finely chopped spinach
- For 2nd layer Cashews Paneer gravy ::
- 1 tbsp cashews powder
- 2 tbsp hot milk
- 100 gm Paneer cubes
- 1 tsp desi ghee
- 1 inch "ginger paste
- 1-2 green chilli
- 10 cashews paste
- 2 tbsp hot milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp whisk curd
- 1/2 cup tomato cooked puree
- For 3rd layer ::
- 1 tbsp chopped spinach
- 50 gram paneer cubes
- 1 tbsp desi ghee
- 10 saffron strings
- 2 tbsp hot milk
- For Garnishing ::
- 1 tbsp chopped spinach
- 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
Steps to make to make Palak Paneer Biryani
- For Rice :: Rice cleans and wash the throughly and soaked in water for 1/2 an hour


- Firstly cook the rice for making biryani. Take a vessel add 5 cup of water place it on high flame combine green cardamom, slits chilli, cinnamon & 1 tbsp ghee.when water boiled remove all spices. Add soaked rice in it for cooking. Mix well. Cover the lid. Cook the rice 80%. Switch off the flame. Now strain the rice. Keep aside.



- On medium flame heat a pan add 2 tbsp desi ghee into it.When ghee hot put all 250 gm. paneer cubes.on medium flame fry it until turns into light golden in colour. Transfer into plate. Keep aside

- Take a bowl put 2 tbsp hot milk add saffron. Mix and keep aside.

- On medium flame heat a pan add desi ghee in it. In hot ghee add cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf, cumin seeds. Saute spices for 30 seconds. Now add tomato puree, ginger paste n chilli paste. Saute nicely. Now combine sugar,salt,turmeric powder, garammasala, coriander powder mix well. Stir continuously. When ghee leaves the pan. Switch off the flame. Half of cooked tomato puree take out another bowl.


- In tomato puree pan combine spinach puree on medium flame. Mix well and cook for 1 minute. Now add butter, cream & 100 gm. Paneer cubes. Saute nicely and cook a minute. Switch off the flame. Transfer into bowl.keep aside.



- For Cashews Paneer Sbji :: On medium flame heat a pan add 1 tsp desi ghee. Now mix cashews paste & 1/2 tsp salt. On simmer add whisk curd stir continuously for 1 minute. Add 1/2 cup of cooked tomato puree.


- Now combine 100 gm of paneer cubes cook for 1 minute. Switch off the flame. Transfer into the bowl. Keep aside.

- We make Biryani in Gas Tandoor So preheatd the tandoor on simmer for 5 minutes.

- How's give pressure (Dum) to the Biryani :: Take a vessel. Grease the vessel nicely. Then a layer of palak paneer sabzi in the vessel. Now spread the rice over it evenly.



- For 2 and layer, spread another layer of cashews paneer sbzi & chopped spinach over the rice. Again spread the rice over it evenly.

- Now finely on the top sprinkle saffron milk, spinach and 50 gm Paneer cubes & 1 tbsp desi ghee.

- Put the Biryani vessel into preheated tandoor. Cover the lid. On medium flame pressure (Dum) the Biryani for 30 minutes. Turn off the flame.



- Biryani is ready to serve. Transfer into serving plate and garnish with coriander leaves. Enjoy !!
